Hi, I’m Julie!

I am so glad you are here! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. I earned both my Bachelors in Rehabilitation Studies and Masters in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas. I completed my graduate internships at a DFW non-profit organization focused on providing free counseling to trauma survivors, which is also where I found my passion for counseling clients with eating disorders. From there, I worked as a primary therapist at an eating disorder treatment center, where I had the privilege of helping clients of many ages, races, cultures, body sizes, sexualities, and gender identities progress in their recovery journeys at the residential and outpatient levels of care before transitioning into private practice.

My core values include authenticity, curiosity, empowerment, humor, and compassion, all of which I include in my therapeutic style when helping people heal their relationships with food, their body, and themselves. My therapeutic approach is grounded in non-diet, intuitive eating, and Health at Every Size®. I am an enneagram 1, podcast enthusiast, introvert, and proud dog mom. My personal mission is to treat others better than they treat themselves. In my free time, I can be found reading, spending time with loved ones, in nature exploring, or crafting new latte flavors.
